Nice new look wang!

Good post. I do think, however, that a database can be a very valuable addition (not a replacement!) to what you outlined. I use it all the time - for example, if I want to see what black's possible plans are after move 8 in xyz opening, I just do a position search and boom, I have a bunch of games that allow me to quickly scan through them starting at move 8, getting a feel for overall plans.

OK, thanks, I was confused for a while. But I didn't notice the second position had the Knight placed correctly, which should have also popped out immediately.

First: In your game, did you consider just taking the Knight? (This was the first thing I saw.) If so, why did you reject it?

Second: Once you finish this, it will be wonderful in book/manual form, making at least a respectable bathroom reader

Dave K:
Well at least reall coffee is not in short supply where you are from :)

DaveK & Chessloser:
When I was mulling this one over in my head I honestly thought it would come in at less than 700-800 words. But I just got started and all of this happened.

Chessaholic:
That is a kick ass book, I am really enjoying it. Yes, we will have to put a serious ass whupping to our opponents this weekend!!

SAF: Yes I will post it soon, this weekend I promise, this may be the only way to get you off my back. I didn't bother mentioning the bishop because it's of equal value ad the Knight. Besides isn't forking all of the heavy pieces on one go good enough?

PatzerBoyz in the Hizzouze!

Keeping it reall

"... for the remainder of this year I will play no blitz. I mean it, zero, zilch, nada not one game below standard time controls on ICC."
um, ok...do there really will be naked ladies everywhere?
*rolls eyes*
Somehow I just don't believe it.
Also, from your game where your queen and rooks angered you so much that you had to hurl them from the board, you fail to mention that your bishop would also be threatened by that fork. Which I have to say, makes that knight a super stud.
Other than that, great post. You definatly have some good points there, even if you did sink into your den of lies to add another to the series.
