Show Mrs. Wang this if she doesn't believe chessplayers are dangerous: <a href="http://www.news24.com/News24/World/News/0,,2-10-1462_2207011,00.html" rel="nofollow">'Chess killer' facing checkmate</a> Mwa ha ha ha!

And besides, a senior center would have quick access to weapons, like canes and crutches.

Incidentally, I have not regretted playing more World of Warcraft than chess.

Farbor:
Glad you enjoyed that. I was kind of shocked, most kids I play will take several minutes planning their second move. This kid started banging the moves out like he plays against the Alekhine frequently, then f5?

Abend:
Welcome to my own little slice of crazy on the interwebs! Glad to have you here!

Pawn Shaman:
Well I guess I shouldn't mention...

Robert:
Thanks, I always aim to be somewhat amusing. I'm hoping to be as entertaining as chessloser someday, but I'm not holding my breath.

Chesstiger:
That's what I said! Alas, Mrs. Wang would have none of it. Mrs. Wang also said it was completely my fault for the loss to the old guy as well. And yes a few more minutes and I would have started pulling hair out, although I would have to start with my chest first, I'm not too confident that anything I pulled from my head would grow back.

BDK:
Thanks, I knew losing a bunch of games would come in handy. I'm not useless, I can always be used as a bad example :)
I will have the second half up on Thursday.

Great account, dude. Awesome job painting the picture of what it's like to lose. I also have the 'I should quit chess' response. Looking forward to the rest.

Dang, i rather would have read the story further like it started. That would have made a wonderfull and unforgetable story.

Helas, you go back to your writing style you learned at the senior center. Nothing i can do about but the smell of gunpowder and the gangsta registration mob will always be in my mind.

Although the tournament didn't start well i guess you can only blame yourself in the second game for not doing like the old geezer, a warrior of old times who doesn't only take his time to slowly murder his opponent by making him so crazy with his slow but still very decent play so that his opponent pulls all of his hair. First on his head, then arms and legs and in the end also the chest hair is removed but by then this old geezers opp is already so away from the world that he doesn't feel it and only in the hospital wonders why his chest is so sore and red.

If you start refering to your king as "my precious" and talking about "tricksie" transpositions it will be very concerning.

"He proceeds to play the 5 pawn variation of Alekhine’s defense. Ok before you start to look this variation up, I’ll let you in on a little secret; it doesn’t exist."

Ho-ho, that was quite funny!
